The Tennessee Sampler Survey was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2004. Their mission is to document and preserve Tennessee's textile heritage. Their research includes documenting Tennessee samplers made prior to 1900. As of December 2006, they have located 160 samplers, 120 of which can be proven as Tennessean. Sampler Note Cards |

The Embroiderer's Story Over the next year, at Plimoth Plantation, in Plymouth Massachusetts, several talented people we will be recreating a 17th-century embroidered jacket.
